Middle School Play Postponed Over Objectionable Content

This is an interesting article and it speaks to the power of individuals to influence and impact what their kids are exposed to in the public schools. Check out this link and also click on the title. I, myself, am somewhat ambilvalent about the idea of using the school system as a platform for social engineering, however noble the idea may be in principle. Molding childrens' attitudes is a task best left to parents. And for the latest update on this situation, the play has been cancelled. And that is good news, in my opinion. As I said, the state should be involved as little as possible in molding student attitudes. And this drives home the point once again that a few determined people who speak up can affect how the future generation that will run our world will be educated in our schools.
